Lil Things

The new Clutch cell phone is okay, but who's little fingers do they expect to press these little buttons? Seems like everything is getting smaller these days. I just bought a Gateway netbook last week. Now those things are teeny tiny!

The Girl I Used To Be...

The Girl I Used To Be

She came tonight as I sat alone..
The girl I used to be....
And she gazed at me with her earnest eye
And questioned reproachfully:

Have you forgotten the many plans
And hopes I had for you?
The great career,the splendid fame,
all the wonderful things to do?

Where is the mansion of stately height
With all its gardens rare?
The silken robes that I dreamed for you
And the jewels in your hair?

And as she spoke, I was very sad
For I wanted her pleased with me...
This slender girl from the shadowy past
The girl that I used to be.

So gently rising, I took her hand
And guided her up the stairs
Where peacefully sleeping, my babies lay
Innocent, sweet, and fair.

And I told her that these are my only gems,
And precious they are to me;
That silken robes is my motherhood
Of costly simplicity.

And my mansion of stately height is love,
And the only career I know
Is serving each day in these sheltered walls
For the dear ones who come and go.

And as I spoke to my shadowy guest,
She smiled through her tears at me.
And I saw the woman that I am now
Pleased the girl I used to be.

"I absolutely love this poem. I found it on the net in a mother's forum a few years back. I don't know who wrote this, but I would love to find out. I would love to tell them thank you for writing such beautiful and true words that spoke to my heart so intensely. I felt every word of this poem. I not only felt it, but I have lived it so I could not have stated it any better myself. It's a wonderful poem and I keep it close to my heart."

Why We Love Children!!!

Mario feat. Gucci Mane, Sean Garrett - "Break Up"

I'm really feeling this song right now for some reason. Last time I saw Mario he was on MTV w/his mom and they were going through some things. So I'm glad to see him back on his grind. The beat to this song is sick and the lyrics are so real. I mean, everyone has been through this, it's classic!
