PC Gamers Need to Take Responsibility For Their Community

There’s a theory that well-made games are natural anti-piracy devices—that if a game is “good enough,” people will buy it—or, in turn, if there’s suspicion it won’t be “good enough,” then people will steal it. It seems to me that there’s an issue of responsibility on everyone’s part, and few parties want to step up and take theirs.

Soul legend Isaac Hayes dies

(CNN) -- Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film "Shaft," has died, sheriff's officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported Sunday.

Singer Issac Hayes seen performing in the U.K. last year. Hayes was found dead Sunday at age 65.

Relatives found Hayes, 65, unconscious in his home next to a still-running treadmill, said Steve Schular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.

Paramedics attempted to revive him and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m., the sheriff's department said.

No foul play is suspected, the agency said in a written statement.

Hayes was a longtime songwriter and arranger for Stax Records in Memphis, playing in the studio's backup band and crafting tunes for artists such as Otis Redding and Sam and Dave in the 1960s.

He released his first solo album in 1967.

n 1971, the theme from "Shaft" became a pop hit and won an Academy Award for best original theme song.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

We have lost another legend...My prayers and love go out to the family in this difficult time. Rest in peace Isaac Hayes.

Get Well Soon

In this picture is my brother (Left) and his best friend (Right) that he has grown up with. They have been very close throughout their short lives and gave everyone the impression that it would always be that way. I believed they would be the two people out of everyone I have never know to continue to be closer than close. There is something threatening that bond and I felt that I had to blog about it. My brother's best friend was in a serious car accident two nights ago and is currently on life support. He is in the hospital being kept alive by machines and IV's. Aside from being a best friend to my brother, he is also a son, a younger brother and a big brother. His family is going through a very difficult time and I would like to wish them the best. I send my prayers to the entire family and hope that he makes a full recovery.

Comedian Bernie Mac Dies at 50

Bernie Mac, who for the past 30 years made the public laugh with an over-sized comic persona in film, television and comedy clubs, has died of pneumonia, PEOPLE has confirmed. He was 50.
"[He] passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his rep, Danica Smith, told PEOPLE. "No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family's privacy continues to be respected."
On Aug 1, Mac was admitted to a hospital at Northwestern Memorial hospital with pneumonia said his rep, adding that he was expected to recover, despite widespread rumors about the seriousness of his condition.
In February 2005, Mac, then 47, revealed that for the previous two decades he had suffered from sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in organs such as the lungs or lymph nodes. "It has not altered or limited my lifestyle," he said at the time.

RIP Bernie Mac

RIP Bernie Mac, you will truly be missed! As soon as I heard the news I was devastated. I like to think that I know about life...and death, but this one really threw me for a loop. What I mean to say is, Bernie was supposed to fully recover in a few days. That's what his publicist had said on Wednesday. I had been following his condition via text messages and RSS feeds from E! Online Magazine. When I first found out that he was ill I thought to myself: "That's Bernie Mac, he is too strong to stay down, he will get back up, I just know he will."

So just imagine the shock and disappointment that I felt and realized when a text message came through saying, "Original King of Comedy Bernie Mac dies at age 50." It was like everything that I knew to be true, everything that I could hold on to, had completely disappeared into thin air.

I want his family to know that these times will be hard, but they WILL make it through. I want to send my love, respect and prayers to them. I would like his wife and kids to know that through his sitcom we all got to know a little bit about all of them so they almost seem like a family member or dear friend and that's the reason why I say, "God loves us all, He keeps us and leads us through anything and everything that we may face in our short time here on Earth. Bernie is with Him now. He is safe from any harm or pain. The Lord will take very good care of him; He will take very good care of us all."
