A lot of First Families have been somewhat stiff and scripted or set up for phony poses.
But when Michelle led her children out onto the stage is was real: She wanted them to see and get a sense of who their Dad now was ('cause he's just a "Dad," to them)
And when she smiled it was a real smile. And when she and Obama hugged it was a real hug and when she looked at him in some amazement and admiration it was real amazement and admiration.
And the kids happiness with them and their love of the kids also real. It was wonderful to see.
And that dress! -- sort of unusual but certainly not shy
Now we'' be watching them for eight years. I hope."
